General Ledger Team Leader

Join our Financial Accounting team and take the lead in driving accurate month-end closes, Balance Sheet and P&L reporting. You’ll guide a team of accounting specialists, ensure high-quality deliverables, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to keep our financials on point.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee GL activities (accruals, deferrals, fixed assets, intercompany, inventory, FX revaluation) and BS reconciliations for Czech and foreign entities withing the Eurowag group
• Approve manual journal entries
• Manage and support the team members with day to day activities (team of 10 Accountants)
• People management – performance evaluations, recruiting
• Co-ordinate month/quarter/year end closing activities in required deadlines
• Support day to day accounting activities
• Oversee the VAT returns submissions for foreign entities
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, support more complex accounting projects, and engage in standardizing and automating workflows across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on similar position
• Solid accounting knowledge (IFRS oriented advantage)
• Experience in a multinational corporation
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, able to provide information in detail, same as high level approach
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English (B2)
• Be Team Player, supportive and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks
• Be Team Leader, able to demonstrate managerial skills of small team of specialist
• Ability to set priorities and work under time pressure with can-do attitude
• MS Office skills, advanced level in MS Excel
• Knowledge SAP is an advantage
