UI/UX Design Team Lead

We are looking for a seasoned UI/UX Design Team Lead to join our R&D team in Prague and take ownership of the product design for Veeam products. This is a strategic and hands-on role where you will guide a team of designers, shape the future of our enterprise software experiences, and ensure design excellence across our product ecosystem. At the beginning, the Team Lead will also partially contribute to ongoing design tasks, acting as a playing manager to support the team and maintain momentum on active projects.

You will be involved in high-level product conversations, drive design strategy, and actively contribute to the creation of user interfaces and experiences.

Your tasks will include:

• Lead, mentor and coach designers, elevating the overall design maturity of the team
• Oversee design strategy and execution for Veeam products
• Facilitate design reviews, feedback sessions, and career development
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA to align design with business goals
• Drive the evolution and governance of our design system
• Ensure compliance with usability and accessibility standards
• Define and drive the long-term design vision, executing complex, multi-phase initiatives
• Actively contribute to design deliverables, mockups, and prototypes
• Shape future design directions and advocate for user-centric innovation

What we expect from you:

• +2 years of experience in leading design teams in a product-focused environment
• Strong portfolio showcasing enterprise product design and leadership impact
• Expertise in Figma and design system management
• Deep understanding of current product design standards and principles
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on design execution
• Fluent English communication skills

Will be an advantage:

• Experience with public cloud platforms or enterprise SaaS
• Familiarity with Veeam products or similar data protection solutions
• Frontend development knowledge (e.g., React, HTML/CSS)
• Experience with software products for systems management
• Prior involvement in scaling design teams or establishing design operations
