The British Embassy Prague is part of a worldwide network representing British interests overseas while maintaining the relationship between the UK and the Czech Republic.
Main purpose of the job:
We are looking to recruit an intern who will join the award-winning Press & Public Affairs team for six months and work with the team to build an even better public image for the Embassy and the Ambassador Matt Field.

The Press & Public Affairs (PPA) team is a crucial team at the Embassy that works directly with the Ambassador and provides support for the whole Embassy.

Other benefits and conditions of employment:
This is a part-time internship position for a duration of six months, with the possibility of extension for a further six months. The maximum total duration of the internship is therefore 12 months.
The average weekly working hours will be 18.75. The contract will be issued under a Dohoda o pracovní činnosti (DPČ) agreement, in accordance with Czech labour law.
The Embassy’s working hours are Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00, with a flexible working hours arrangement in place.
The hourly gross salary is 141 CZK.
The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check, security clearance, and medical check.
Applicants must already hold valid authorisation to work in the Czech Republic in order to be eligible to apply.
Locally recruited staff at the British Embassy in the Czech Republic are employed under Terms and Conditions of Service in accordance with Czech employment legislation.
Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently possess the independent right to live and work in the Czech Republic and be prepared to maintain this status for the duration of the contract.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you meet the legal requirements to live and work in the Czech Republic.
The British Embassy does not sponsor work permits.
