Payroll Expert – German & English

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Expert with fluent English and German at B2 level to join an international HR Operations team. This role will focus on payroll process support, system implementation, and close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the local payroll team with day-to-day operations and processes.
• Assist with payroll system implementation, including data reconciliation, process definition, and checks.
• Act as the main point of contact for the payroll vendor – provide input reports and process outputs in line with internal controls.
• Handle employee payroll-related queries via a ticketing system (e.g., payslips, tax deductions, benefits).
• Support pre- and post-payroll run activities, monthly payroll controls, taxation, and finance-related tasks (e.g., reconciliations, accruals).
• Ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal changes affecting payroll.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, HR Operations, and other relevant teams.
• Contribute to payroll-related projects at country or business unit level.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 2–3 years of experience in payroll, time administration, or personnel administration (SSC environment an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of SAP (Workday experience is a plus).
• Experience in HR Operations or Payroll project work.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and experience with HR ticketing tools.
• Strong customer orientation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Fluent English and German at B2 level (or higher).
• Relevant education in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
