Job Description Summary
The Product Launch Quality team is seeking a Product Launch Quality Engineer to join our winning team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support New Technology Launches in Supply Chain Solutions Industry. In this role, you will work closely with Dematic`s Product Management & Development team and Manufacturing Launch Functions to effectively launch new technologies in quality.
Justification
PLQ - Pallet Handling
Strong demand in this Product Management category, especially the building of Pallet solution standard (Pallet Shuttle, Stacker Cranes).
Key Technologies like RapidPal require proactive Quality Assurance activity and is highly impactful for big projects like Aldi Vic and any other AMCAP Solutions.
Current PLQ Headcount not able to support this category.
Locality: EMEA (Germany due to ASRS CoE, R&D and Product Management hub).
Key Responsibilities
Responsible as sub-project manager Quality in development projects to drive quality requirements and deliverables
Project manager as coordinator of all quality tasks between all required quality areas and the development project. (Incl. Monitoring, planning, controlling, reporting and evaluating of milestones)
Creation & monitoring of quality requirements for new projects
Engage in new product / module instructions & Pre-Sales Phase incl. Special Release Process (pre QG01) and support if BETA Product is sold
Further development of Q-System in the development process and Continuous Improvement
Conduct lessons learned workshops and ensure implementation within Product Development Processes
Facilitate Technical Risk Assessments (D/PFMEA)
Provides direction to quality team members in resolving technical issues/problems across project sites, if support is required
Ensure initial sample availability to ensure product ramp-up (incl. Component & Resale Systems)
Ensure quality of required parts for product launch (start-up management).
Avoid failure reoccurrence by transferring Lessons Learned from Project Execution Sites into New Technology Development Projects
Drive targeted corrective actions in support of BETA Product Issue globally.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, adequate vocational training in a relevant field and technical experience or similar
Minimum 3 years’ experience in professional Quality or New Product Introduction role in project / product-based business (preferred supply chain solutions, engineering, project management, resale procurement)
Product Development Quality Management and/or Manufacturing Quality experiences preferred
Advanced level of fluency in technical/business English & German
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (communicating up, down, and across)
Ability to oversee internal and external quality programs.
Proven skills in quality improvement techniques (especially FMEA and Root-Cause-Analysis)
Proven ability to define, contain, communicate, and rectify crises
Negotiation and presentation skills and experience, in a high-pressure and senior-level environment
Willingness to travel regionally / internationally
