DigitalExchange s.r.o. is a Czech-based fintech company incorporated under the laws of the Czech Republic (Registration number: 221 99 047). We operate as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), registered with the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade for virtual asset services. We are under the oversight of the Financial Analytical Office (FAÚ) regarding AML/CFT obligations under the Czech AML Act, ensuring stringent standards in risk management, customer due diligence, and transaction monitoring. We are currently in the process of obtaining a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), which will allow us to offer regulated crypto-asset exchange and custodial wallet services across the EU and beyond.

Job Summary: The Compliance Officer is a critical senior leadership position at DigitalExchange s.r.o., responsible for overseeing and managing all Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) activities. This role requires a strong understanding of Czech and EU financial regulations, particularly those related to virtual assets and crypto-assets. The Compliance Officer will serve as the primary point of contact with the Czech National Bank (ČNB) and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and internal AML/CFT policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's AML/CFT framework, policies, and procedures in compliance with the Czech AML Act and upcoming MiCA regulations.
• Act as the main liaison with the ČNB and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Oversee customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes.
• Monitor transactions for suspicious activities and ensure timely and accurate reporting of suspicious transaction reports (STRs) to the CNB.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on AML/CFT matters.
• Conduct regular risk assessments related to money laundering and terrorist financing, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive AML/CFT training programs for all employees.
• Stay abreast of changes in AML/CFT laws, regulations, and best practices, especially concerning virtual and crypto assets, and adapt company policies accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective compliance program.
• Ensure that all AML records are meticulously maintained and readily available for regulatory scrutiny.

Qualifications:

• Residency: A resident of the Czech Republic. This is a mandatory requirement due to the direct communication and thorough checks by banks and regulatory bodies.
• Experience: Proven experience in an AML/CFT role within the financial sector, preferably with experience in virtual asset services or fintech. Strong knowledge of crypto assets, blockchain transactions, and risk indicators specific to virtual currencies are a strong advantage.
• Education: Qualification in the financial sphere to a certain level.
• Certifications: Certified AML qualifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS) are a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both Czech and English.
• Eligible to be registered as an MLRO with Czech regulators.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Czech AML/CFT legislation and EU regulations, including MiCA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with regulatory authorities, internal teams, and external partners.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications, typically ranging from 2,000 EUR to 3,500 EUR per month for experienced specialists, depending on the scope of work and working hours. We are open to discussing salary expectations.
