At Doosan Digital Innovation Europe (DDIE), we rely on our IT systems to help our customers succeed. The purpose of the Senior Server Support Analyst (On-Premises & Cloud) role is to assist, maintain, support and evolve DDIE’s hybrid cloud infrastructure for running business applications and services. These infrastructures include production, test and development environments. The role will be instrumental in building and supporting AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, delivering project work, and optimising costs to provide reliable, high quality and cost-effective IT solutions for DDIE’s customers.

Role's Key Responsibilities:

Server Management:

• Administer and manage Windows servers (both physical and virtual) on-premises and in AWS.
• Perform regular maintenance activities such as patching, updates, and backups.
• Monitor server performance and perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Manage and configure AWS services related to Windows servers (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3).
• Implement and maintain cost-efficient and reliable AWS solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security and architecture standards in the cloud.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and manage security measures to protect server infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.

Backup and Recovery:

• Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure timely and successful recovery of systems in case of failures or disasters.

Technical Support:

• Provide advanced level support and troubleshooting of server-related issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures for server management.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Use monitoring tools to track server performance and optimize resource usage.
• Ensure high availability and performance of server infrastructure through capacity planning.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency in server administration tasks.
• Utilize tools such as PowerShell, AWS CLI, etc., for automation purposes.

General:

• Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
• Recommend process and architecture improvements

Requirements:

Technical

Essential:

• Microsoft Windows related certification
• Solid background in MS Windows server administration
• 3+ Years’ experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
• Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

• Experience/competence with Microsoft SQL databases and associated database administrator (DBA) tasks

Desirable:

• Educated to at least GCE A level, SQA Highers, or equivalent standard in Czech Republic
• ITIL Qualified
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent experience
• Expertise and demonstrable competence using AWS
• Understanding of networking concepts such as WAN/LAN/WiFi, IP addressing, routing and switching etc.
• Experience in administering and supporting Linux/Unix environments
