Are you comfortable communicating in Dutch and English and interested in starting or growing your career in a technical-commercial role? At Johnson Controls, we’re looking for a motivated team member to join us as an Engineering Proposal Lead. You don’t need deep technical experience—we’ll provide full training. What matters is your interest in technology, your communication skills, and your willingness to learn. In this role, you’ll help prepare proposals for fire detection projects across the Benelux region and work closely with our sales and engineering teams to support customers and ensure smooth project delivery.

What you will do

• Assist Account Executives with detailed estimating and client presentations.
• Mentor engineers on fire detection/alarm systems and ensure quality standards.
• Prepare proposals including take-offs, specification reviews, and special quotes.
• Review documents and respond promptly to requests.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow standardized design procedures.

What we look for

• Education in electrical, mechanical, or other technical field.
• Working knowledge of English and conversational Dutch (technical Dutch is not required).
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.

Nice To Have:

• AutoCAD experience.
• Previous work experience with fire detection/alarm systems.
