Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a role with autonomy, responsibility, and international exposure? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the launch and operations of a newly established Prague branch of a well-established international trading company.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant who enjoys working across a broad range of accounting activities while collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple countries.

What will you do?

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the Czech entity
• Process and oversee incoming and outgoing invoices
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with local regulations
• Support monthly reporting and management accounting activities
• Handle accounting data, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Cooperate with external accountants, auditors, and authorities
• Prepare reports for local management and international stakeholders
• Communicate regularly with colleagues and finance teams across global branches
• Contribute to the implementation and improvement of accounting processes in the new office

What are we looking for?

• Secondary or university education in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations
• Experience with invoicing, reporting, and general accounting operations
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Advanced English for daily communication with international colleagues
• Fluent Czech language
• Experience in logistics, trading, import/export, commodity trading, or a similar international environment is a strong advantage
• Previous exposure to management accounting or financial closing processes is beneficial
