ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER FOR THE CENTRE FOR DOCTORAL STUDIES

The Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism (ICSJ) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, is seeking two new colleagues for the position of Administrative Officer (part-time, 0.5 FTE). One position is intended for the coordination of the doctoral study programme in Czech, and the other for the coordination of the doctoral study programme in English.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organisational and administrative support for doctoral studies within the Centre for Doctoral Studies at ICSJ.
• Administrative support for activities related to the operation of the Institute.

Requirements:

• A university degree (at least Bachelor's level; a Master's degree is an advantage).
• Previous experience in a higher education or research environment is an advantage.
• English language proficiency at a minimum level of C1.
• For the Czech-language programme, Czech language proficiency at a minimum level of C1.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.

We Offer:

• Expected start date: 1 September 2026.
• Part-time employment (0.5 FTE; 20 hours per week) distributed throughout the working week.

• If the selected candidate is a doctoral student enrolled at ICSJ, their appointment will be financed through a combination of an employment contract and a doctoral scholarship.
