Job Description:

In this role, you will drive procurement excellence by developing and leading strategic sourcing plans, optimizing our supplier base, and actively supporting business growth (including New Business opportunities). You will act as a key bridge between our suppliers, engineering, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing & Portfolio Optimization: Develop and execute global and local sourcing strategies to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and build an efficient, high-performing supplier base through strategic partnerships.
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Maintain, improve, and develop relationships with key suppliers. Identify and onboard new supply chains through rigorous business assessments, due diligence, and strategic audits.
• Market Analysis & Risk Mitigation: Monitor global supply markets, analyze capacity trends to support the S&OP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process, and implement proactive risk mitigation plans to prevent component allocations.
• Cost Optimization & Benchmarking: Lead commercial negotiations to maximize cost reductions on direct materials. Perform regular market benchmarking and partner with engineering and commercial teams to identify standardization and cost-reduction opportunities from NPI to End of Life (EOL).
• Supplier Performance & Sourcing Alternatives: Work closely with Quality and Purchasing teams to implement corrective actions, long-term continuous improvement projects, and actively develop alternative sourcing options to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Contract Management & Supply Flexibility: Negotiate and maintain supplier contract agreements, favorable payment terms, and buffer stock agreements to ensure supply chain flexibility and responsiveness to fluctuating customer demands without increasing business costs.
• Cost Project Management & RFQ: Full management of Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for new projects. Analysis and calculation of material costs based on Bills of Materials (BOM).

Skills Required:

• Education & Experience: Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven procurement experience is required; experience within contract manufacturing or the EMS sector is an advantage.
• Technical Awareness: Experience in a manufacturing environment, orientation in production processes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Sourcing & Contract Expertise: Practical experience in supplier evaluation, compliance, selection, and a solid understanding of commercial terms and conditions of contracts.
• Negotiation & Analytical Skills: A skilled and proven negotiator with a results-oriented mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and project management skills.
• Financial & Commercial Acumen: Sound financial understanding, ability to drive targets based on margins, costs, and budgeting activities
• IT & Systems: Intermediate to advanced user of MS Office (especially Excel, Word). Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
• Soft Skills & Culture: Emotional intelligence, natural ability to build trusted partnerships, and a proactive "change agent" mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Language & Mobility: Advanced English (written and spoken). Flexibility to travel frequently within the Europe.
