We are pioneering a new fresh global project and expanding the team x 3
AI‑powered research assistant — think of it as a smart search engine built specifically on top of an organization’s own proprietary research and data.

The Problem It Solves
Today, customers such as technology executives, strategy teams, and analysts at large companies spend hours — sometimes weeks — digging through static reports and PDFs to answer business‑critical questions. They may need insights like: How does our IT spending compare to industry peers? or Which vendors dominate this market? Finding reliable answers often requires days of manual research or direct analyst engagement.

What the Solution Does
The assistant allows users to ask plain‑language questions and receive instant, fully cited answers grounded strictly in verified internal research. Unlike general‑purpose AI tools that may generate speculative or inaccurate responses, this system only draws from trusted data sources and clearly shows where each answer comes from.

If a question cannot be answered with sufficient confidence, it explicitly flags the gap and routes the request to a human analyst rather than guessing.

Who Uses It
Senior IT leaders, IT strategists, corporate strategy teams, market intelligence professionals, procurement leaders, and vendor‑side analysts — essentially any subscriber who needs fast, trustworthy insights to support business decisions.

Lead AI Engineer The most senior AI role on the list. You set the technical direction for how AI Assistant behaves — how it reasons, how it grounds answers in IDC data, how it avoids hallucinating. You likely lead the team of AI engineers (including the Memory engineers from the previous batch). Strong candidate profile: hands-on AI/ML leader who has built production LLM systems, not just research experience.

AI Engineer - Memory of the Assistant : AI tool needs to remember context across a user's conversation — so when someone asks a follow-up question, the system knows what was discussed before. You build and maintain that "memory" layer. Think of it as giving this Assistant a short-term and long-term brain. Two roles because this is a foundational, high-priority piece of the tool platform.

Senior Data Search Engineer (Data Science background) You make the Assistant's search accurate and smart. When a user asks a question, the tool needs to find the right IDC research out of millions of data points. You own the retrieval quality — chunking, ranking, and making sure the most relevant content surfaces. It's the core of what makes the tool trustworthy rather than just fast.

Observability Engineer Once the Assistant is live and users are asking thousands of questions, someone needs to make sure everything is running reliably — monitoring performance, catching errors, tracking latency, and alerting the team when something breaks. This role keeps the lights on and helps the team ship with confidence.

Lead API/Platform Engineer AI Assistant is built as a set of connected services — the AI layer, the search engine, the UI, entitlements. This person leads the platform that ties it all together and owns the APIs other teams (and eventually external clients) use to talk to Trevi. Needs someone who thinks in systems, not just code.

API Engineer (Python based) Hands-on engineer building and maintaining the Python-based APIs that power Assistant backend. More execution-focused than the Lead role above — a strong mid-level engineer who can ship reliable, well-tested API endpoints.

Sn API Engineer (Python) Same domain as above but more experienced — likely owning larger features, mentoring juniors, and driving technical decisions within the API layer

Sn AI Quality / Evaluation Engineer A critical and somewhat unique role. Assistant's entire value proposition is trusted, accurate answers. You build the systems to measure and prove that AI Assistant is actually getting things right — automated evals, quality benchmarks, regression testing for AI outputs. Without this role, the team is flying blind on quality. Strong signal for candidates who've worked on LLM evaluation frameworks.
