The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prague invites applications for the fulltime position of Receptionist, Driver & Caretaker

Commencement date: between medio June and medio August 2026

Primary Responsibilities

Driving Services

• Provide safe, punctual and professional transportation for embassy staff, official visitors and delegations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Czech and EU traffic regulations
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections, including checks of tires, lights, oil, fluids and other basic functions
• Maintain embassy vehicles in a clean, orderly and operational condition

Reception and Administrative Support

• Receive and assist visitors
• Manage telephone inquiries, mail, deliveries and other routine administrative tasks
• Operate standard office equipment, including PC, email, telephone systems
• Support the preparation of meeting rooms and the coordination of visitor access

Caretaking and Maintenance

• Perform minor maintenance and simple technical tasks within embassy premises
• Report on building related issues and assist in coordinating external service providers when required
• Support procurement of supplies, tools, equipment and related services

Required Qualifications

Driving Competence

• Valid category B driving licence
• Minimum 2 years of documented professional driving experience
• Solid understanding of Czech and EU traffic rules
• Demonstrated ability to drive safely and responsibly under varying conditions
• Basic technical knowledge related to vehicle functionality

Reception and Office Skills

• Demonstrated customer service skills and professional communications skills ‑service skills and professional communication
• Ability to maintain accurate records and simple logs
• Competence in using standard office tools and digital communication systems
• Structured and organized working habits, with a professional and courteous demeanor

Language skills

• Fluent Czech
• Good command of English at a functional level (B1–B2)

• Previous experience working in an international or diplomatic environment
