We are seeking a skilled Capital Equipment Category Manager to join the Procurement team (General Procurement) at a leading global pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will drive sourcing and procurement excellence across the Capital Equipment category, ensuring successful deployment of global strategies, managing vendor performance, and supporting value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement global category strategy at a local level and ensure alignment with sourcing plans.
• Lead the execution of sourcing activities for your sub-category, meeting defined savings targets.
• Provide input into category segmentation and supplier relationship strategies.
• Manage strategic sub-category supplier relationships and performance KPIs.
• Collect and consolidate supplier data, insights and feedback from multiple divisions, countries and sites.
• Deliver Procurement Balanced Scorecard metrics for the sub-category.
• Create, negotiate, finalize and review major contracts, ensuring clear communication and consistent application.
• Identify supplier performance risks and resolve issues in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Supervise distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).
• No direct reports (0–5 depending on setup).

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar category management or procurement role.
• Strong vendor management experience with large global suppliers across multiple regions.
• Experience with equipment and maintenance services.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to work across multiple platforms & systems.
• Proven project management experience.
• Ability to identify and deliver value creation projects.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across various business units.
• Cross-cultural communication experience.
• Fluent English is required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across boundaries.
