A UK-based company is seeking an experienced and adaptable Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at its newly established warehouse in Tuchoměřice, near Prague. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new site and play a key role in its development and success.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, initially working alongside one local colleague and in close collaboration with the UK headquarters. The warehouse will serve as a logistics hub for shipments across the EU and Scandinavia, in partnership with logistics provider DHL.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods
• Perform administrative duties such as inventory control, shipping documentation, and reporting
• Operate a forklift and assist with hands-on warehouse tasks as needed
• Liaise with the UK-based team and logistics partners to ensure efficient cross-border shipments
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
• Support the onboarding and training of future team members as the operation grows

Candidate Requirements

• Fluency in both Czech and English (spoken and written)
• Valid forklift license and experience operating forklifts
• Proven experience in warehouse management or warehouse office administration
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a start-up environment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems; experience with Sage is an advantage
