Summary
Application Engineer for Automation will be responsible for performing contract programming tasks of robotized measuring cells and providing technical and pre and after-sales support for automated Hexagon’s solutions encompassing metrology, demonstration, functionality, and performance. He/She is home office based and travelling to customers in North Bohemia.

Job Responsibilities
 

• Create robotics measuring programs ranging from simple inspection of parts to comprehensive evaluation of all features located on customer’s cars bodies or their sub-assemblies based on customer/industrial sector specifications, procedures and inspection standards.
• Provide on-site support with a proactive approach to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, identify solutions to resolve customer issues together with the preservation of the company’s reputation.
• Strong contribution to successful Project management to meet all milestones in terms of performed outcomes in high quality.
• Handover of all relevant information to the Project Team and execute agreed actions to the successful completion of application support and part programming on-site support, trainings etc.
• Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
• Actively collaborate and share experiences and information with other Team’s members as well as across all companies’ departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or High School Diploma Degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Previous experience at the position of an Application or Technical Support Engineer at least one year and solid knowledge of 3D CAD models.
• Basic knowledge of Automotive industry and its quality requirement. Experience with 3D measuring systems and/or industrial robots is of advantage.
• Experience with metrological software and evaluation procedures is strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel both domestically as well as abroad for several days
• Advanced English is required, knowledge of German language on communicative level is a strong advantage.
• Good team player and pro-active personality with strong focus on common success.
