We are looking for a Web & Database Administrator to maintain our core school information systems while driving forward our data strategy. In this role, you will handle day-to-day systems administration and lead efforts in integration, automation, and data visibility to support school-wide decision-making and operational efficiency. This is a strategic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, building tools, and collaborating across departments to create meaningful improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support the school’s Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
• Manage user access, system configuration, and data integrity across platforms.
• Ensure smooth integration and synchronization between SIS, LMS, and other systems.
• Extract, transform, and report data to empower academic and administrative teams.
• Recommend modern tools and streamline workflows during system migrations.
• Maintain dashboards, portals, and web-based tools for staff and leadership.
• Build and maintain API connections between school platforms.
• Apply automation with Python, PowerShell, or Google Apps Script; AI-assisted scripting encouraged.
• Simplify login and access with identity federation, SSO, and automated provisioning.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization across all key systems.
• Create and refine repeatable reports and dashboards for actionable insights.
• Train staff to access and interpret data effectively.
• Collaborate with leadership to support decision-making with metrics and analytics.
• Document processes, onboarding materials, and system best practices.
• Partner across departments to deliver sustainable, user-focused technology solutions.

Knowledge, skills and dispositions required

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in systems administration
• Experience with school information systems or enterprise platforms in a technical support or administrative role.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and database query design.
• Comfortable working with APIs, JSON/XML, and automation scripts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Attributes

• Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Google Data Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, including Google Workspace, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of data protection laws and best practices, ideally within an educational context.
• Prior experience with Veracross or other US-based Student Information Systems (SIS) is advantageous, but not required.
