We are looking for a young, passionate MEP Construction Engineer specializing in HVAC to join our tight-knit project management team. In this role, you will play a central part in transforming the historic 5-star Mozart Hotel facing the famous Charles Bridge on the banks of the Vltava — into Sofitel Legend The Mozart, a new flagship property run by Accor Luxury Group. You’ll collaborate directly with the experienced hotel developers, architects, designers, and hoteliers involved in this fast-paced environment that prizes innovation and audacity over bureaucracy.

Heritage meets cutting-edge engineering. You will breathe new life into a UNESCO-protected landmark by devising an HVAC solution that creatively reuses the building’s original chimneys and shafts. You’ll integrate advanced building management and guest-room systems, such as Honeywell Forge or Johnson Crontrols’ Metasys, while preserving the character and integrity of the century-old architecture. Reporting directly to the CEO and senior project managers, you’ll enjoy the autonomy and visibility that only a boutique, five-star renovation can offer.

What You’ll Do

You will lead the design and oversight of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems tailored to luxury hospitality, ensuring performance, comfort, and sustainability. Working hand-in-hand with architects and interior designers, you’ll balance historic preservation with state-of-the-art mechanical performance. Day to day, you’ll coordinate closely with subcontractors and specialist suppliers, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure full compliance with heritage and safety regulations as well as luxury brand standards. Your creative problem-solving will be key as you optimize duct layouts for ecological efficiency and cost effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong academic background in Mechanical or MEP Engineering and demonstrable experience implementing HVAC systems in (ideally in luxury hotels or high-end residential projects). You should be well versed in drawing ducting plans for HVAC systems and have basic understanding of the technical requirements of building management and guest room management systems proposed by companies like Honeywell, Johnson Controls and Schneider. Communication in English is a must (Czech skills a bonus). Above all, you are resourceful, adaptable, and fearless about “thinking outside the box.” A genuine passion for heritage architecture and sustainable engineering will help you thrive in this one-of-a-kind project.
