🌍 Customs & Export Control Manager for Europe

Become a key expert in customs processes, international trade and export control in the European region. We are looking for an experienced professional to take responsibility for customs, foreign trade regulations and compliance across Europe.

🎯 Key Qualifications
📘 Education & System Knowledge

• Solid commercial education
• Proficient user of:
• Microsoft Office
• SAP ECC 6.0 & SAP S/4 HANA (advantage, not a must)
• Intrastat software (IDEV)
• Restricted Party Screening System (RPS)

🌐 Customs & Foreign Trade Expertise

• Deep knowledge of customs and international trade

Experience with:

• Harmonized Tariff System (HTS)
• Preference verification
• Intrastat handling
• Long-term supplier declarations
• Import/Export customs processes
• Simplified customs procedures

🔒 Export Control & Trade Compliance

• Strong knowledge of export control regulations
• Hands-on experience with export licenses, exemptions & partner screenings

🗣️ Languages & Soft Skills

• Fluent English (spoken & written)
• Fluent German (spoken & written)
• Strong international communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset

🎯 Main Responsibilities
🛃 Customs (approx. 55%)

• Oversee customs procedures, duties & HTS classification support
• Manage simplified customs processes
• Communicate with customs authorities across Europe (mainly Germany)
• Oversee customs audits & develop solutions for complex cases
• Implement and monitor foreign trade laws in Germany
• Prepare work instructions and support EU sites with customs/export law compliance
• Handle long-term supplier declarations
• Prepare Intrastat reports for Austria & Germany, including authority communication

✈️ Export Control (approx. 45%)

• Manage and monitor export licenses & exemptions for Germany, CZ & PT
• Support export control processes across EU locations
• Perform restricted-party screenings & coordinate positive hits with internal teams
• Maintain SAP partner restrictions
• Support the global Trade Compliance team with:
• Export license coordination
• Daily SAP blocked order handling
• HTS code reviews
