NKT is looking for an HSE Manager with a strong knowledge, and preferebly TÜV or similar professional certifications in machine safety (Machine Directive, Use of Work Equipment Directive) whose main focus ensuring the compliance of our equipment with the safety requirements. Tha candidate may be located in one of our European sites (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic) to be a part of Group HSE department and company instrumental to the worldwide green agenda.

What can you expect from the position?

HSE Manager ensure NKT compliance with technical and chemical safety requirements. This position has mainly, but not limited to the following responsibilities and tasks:

• Manage the requirements the work equipment has to comply with to be acquired and operated in NKT
• Establish requirements that the technical safety programs for the top NKT risks have to comply with and roll them out.
• Manage and administer NKT chemical databases in liason with the chemical safety/compliance consultants and NKT network.
• Support plants in machine safety risk assessments
• Manage projects to retrofit and improve safety of equipment.
• Define standard solutions to improve safety of equipment.
• Elaborate and implement group level programs for technical safety: electrical, chemical, hazardous works.

What do we expect from the candidate?

To be successful in this role, you should have analytical problem solving attitude with a practical judgment and goal orientation. Be a team worker in ability to integrate and cooperate in an international team but also be able to work autonomously and lead and inspire others. Enjoy travelling to our plants locations and also we expect:

• University degree in Safety Engineer or Mech/Elec/Chem Engineer with a strong safety background
• Solid knowledge in machine directive and use of work equipment directive and their practical implementation in a manufacturing environment.
• General knowledge in occupational risks and related EU and national legislation.
• General knowledge in REACH and related legislation.
• Project Management knowledge
• HSE Management systems knowledge: ISO 45001, 14001, 50001
• English - full professional competence.
• German, Swedish or Danish - an advantage.
