On behalf of our client, a leading provider of branded products for plants in the home and garden, we are looking to recruit Country Manager to manage and lead Czech subsidiary.

Objectives of this position:

  • Managing and developing the strategic direction of the Czech organization with the departments Sales and Key Account
  • Management of the local Marketing, Finance, Production and Logistic
  • Implementing new market entries, increasing brand presence and gaining new market share
  • Adaption of global marketing / sales strategy to local conditions; implementation of marketing plans and definition of product mix for
  • Key Account customers
  • Initiation, implementation and adaption of the brand and product strategies to local needs
  • Briefing and coordination of packaging and product descriptions, taking into account legal framework conditions, requirements and proof approvals
  • Responsible for the budget and cost management at Czech subsidiary
  • Close and transparent cooperation with HQ functions in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
  • Responsible for HR and legal topics (including pay role, data protection, rental agreements)

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Sales
  • Languages: fluent Czech and English spoken and written as a must, German is an advantage
  • Extended, more than 3 years of work experience in a comparable position. Leadership experience is desirable
  • Excellent competencies in sales excellence; a modern and structured approach to sales – and a proven track record of building sales revenues and also knowledge in DIY or Food as well as understanding and possibly experience in the classical trade over specialized dealers preferably gardening and connected products
  • Experienced with cross-functional understanding of processes and interfaces and the ability to cooperate cross countries with the HQ in Germany as well as the regional management of EE (Prague)
  • Self-starting and can-do approach. Strategic thinker, high autonomy and team orientation as well as innovative ability and assertiveness
  • High volume interpersonal skills, helping in building professional relationships (internally and externally).
