Data and Event Manager

Data and Event Manager

Your main responsibilities:

  • The overall technical support of the hybrid annual conference (with more than 2500 onsite and online attendees) - technical and administrative management of conference abstracts (scientific content of the conference) from submission and adjustments to final programme creation and publication (Abstract book) and working with a dedicated abstract management software;
  • Assistance to the Scientific Committee during the evaluation process of approx. 250 sessions and 2500 contributions;
  • Involvement in the technical/organisational/data and software preparation and organization of the EAA conference (on-line registration process, attendance and assistance onsite at the conference venue, administration of the online component incl. mobile app, responsibility for smooth technical running of the conference, cooperation with the local host organiser, etc.);
  • Administration and management of the help-desk email – assistance with daily Members’ queries (e.g. connected to membership, conference on-line registration, scientific programme matters, etc.);
  • Designing, administration and maintenance of the EAA conference and the EAA website;
  • Administration and maintenance of the EAA membership database and related membership facilities within a dedicated engagement management software;
  • Cooperation with the EAA social media editor;
  • Graphic design of EAA outputs (e.g. pictures, brochures, reports, certificates etc.) and print preparation;
  • Cooperation with and presentation to the EAA Executive Board, cooperation within the EAA Secretariat (4 staff members).

Candidate´s profile requirements:

  • High School or University degree (background in archaeology / IT is preferred);
  • Fluent Czech and English is a must (daily communication in English both written and spoken);
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office; practical experience in data handling and different software administration, IT/technical/graphical background and proven digital skills;
  • Experience with website administration; knowledge of HTML is a plus;
  • Experience with graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva);
  • Experience with social media administration is an advantage;
  • Willingness to learn and become completely proficient in content management and other softwares;
  • Diligence, ability to work independently, creative technical thinking and proactive problem-solving ability, with a capacity to determine new solutions;
  • Communication and organizational skills, ability to cooperate with large and varied audiences; presentations skills;
  • Willingness to travel abroad (especially in time of the conference – late August/early September each year).
