The Panorama Hotel Prague is looking for a candidate for the position of an Assistant Chief Engineer. The primary responsibility for this position is to direct and coordinate the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel. To ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and employees in compliance with all Brand governmental regulatory requirements. Supervise contractors in preventive, regular maintenance, projects and general repairs to all areas of the hotel.

What your working day will be like:

• Working closely with the Chief Engineer on different projects, maintaining smooth cooperation with our external. technical company.
• Manages and controls day to day preventative maintenance and repairs through outsourced contractor.
• Coordinates all contractors, their schedules/tasks, performance and respect of standard.
• Coordinates all preventive maintenance action, as well as repairs and projects.
• Communicates between the hotel and the external supplier of technical services and maintenance.
• Checks daily complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Works efficiently and promptly on guest feedback, comments.
• Is responsible for the development and monitoring of compliance with the cost of repairs and maintenance.
• Checks the inclusion of new assets into evidence.
• In the case of Special Project follow the contractors timing and task.
• Providing support to the Director of Engineering and assumes the duties of the Director of Engineering in his absence.
• Monitoring preventive maintenance and coordination of cooperation with technical services and maintenance.
• Ensuring timely meeting deadlines and reporting any deficiencies.
• Handles the purchasing of equipment replacement parts and repairs.
• Performs mandatory reviews and mandatory technical documentation.
• Maintaining and reviewing the hotel Security performance, ensuring full compliance with law and regulations.
• Be in charge of HS, Fire Safety and Security audits, following up on them and ensuring completion of given tasks.
• Providing first aid and keep updated records in the book of injuries.
• Present proposals for improvements and innovations.

Desired profile of our new colleague:

• Having mechanical or electrical background and experience from hotel is advantage.
• Experience in security and safety area from operations environment (hotel industry preferably).
• Very good knowledge of Czech legislation in Health and safety, fire safety and security.
• Manage hotel contracted engineers.
• Fluent in written & spoken Czech and English. Czech is a must.
• Ability to work independently and pro-actively.
• Systematic and structured approach.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Responsible and loyal person.
