Business Analyst

Your mission?


In this high visibility position, you will together with the customer determine and define their business requirements regarding their pricing process. The outcome should be a complete set of user stories having the right level of detail to be used as input by our implementation team. Sometimes our customers do not have a clear or complete vision of where they want to (or can) go, or they have their requirements, not in the right level of detail. Your mission is to jointly define and complete the requirements so that we have a full and complete scope before we involve our implementation team, and you help our implementation team during the implementation phase where needed.

You will be in charge of…

  • Act as a business & pricing process advisor by demonstrating pricing domain expertise (industry agnostic)
  • Understand, analyze and articulate business and technical pricing related processes in the context of the Customer’s business, technology landscape, and pricing best practices
  • Process modeling / translating the requirements into user stories at the right level of detail
  • Ensure the implementation team has all the details they need to build or implement the solution
  • Support foundation workshops during project initiation, as well as pricing/business process deep dives (project delivery)
  • Selected individuals to support pre-sales activities & SoW creation
  • Facilitate business process and functional discussions between business and IT stakeholders
  • Demonstrate complex workflows and use cases in Pricefx
  • Lead or co-lead foundation workshops during project initiation, as well as pricing/business process deep dives during project delivery
  • Act as the interim Pricefx project lead when the Project Manager and/or Solution Architect is out of the office
  • Provide conceptual and functional guidance on partner-led projects through Expert Services
  • Participate in several sales cycles on an ongoing basis by leading or supporting solution sales activities
  • Collaborate with Solution Sales Managers to develop customer-specific project estimates and timeline
  • Prepare detailed budgetary estimates and professional-level proposals in conjunction with the Revenue team


What should you have to succeed?

  • Commercial process experience (sales operations, pricing, pricing process in business processes). Pricing domain experience is a very big plus
  • Desire and ability to work with pricing SW day to day
  • Industry / technical expertise
  • Requires Bachelor of Science in business, IT, or other technical disciplines, MS or MBA highly desirable
  • Ability to understand the customer's current pricing and business process and to translate that into solution proposals and detailed customer requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to present complex concepts in an organized, accessible and articulate manner to both commercial and technical audiences
  • The discipline to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small, high-performance team
  • 3-6 years of experience in a similar role in a business environment including sales, pricing, IT, or consulting
  • Pricing or "big-data" experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel to visit clients up to 25-40% within your region (Europe). Some intercontinental travel might be required
