Junior System Administrator

We are a growing our IT support team based in Prague, Czech Republic. BISim is developing world leading game-based military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies. We are constantly looking for ways to advance the whole industry, using the latest technologies and trends (such as whole world simulation, virtual reality and motion tracking).

The BISIM Prague IT Team is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. We're looking for candidates that are eager to learn and ideally have some experience system administration. Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence), storage arrays, Microsoft Office products and Slack is an advantage. This candidate should be comfortable working with the team as well as solo endeavors, dependent on current tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to support tickets in a timely manner
• Troubleshooting of end user issues
• Install and maintain desktop systems (installation, maintenance, configuration)
• Support the various printers, copiers, phones, and other office equipment
• Troubleshoot network issues as needed
• Writing IT documentation as needed

What you should already know:

• Good understanding of Windows desktop OS (10/8/7)
• Basic understanding of networking
• Ability to communicate well with other IT staff and end users
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Fluency in understanding, speaking and writing English

Great if you know (we'll teach you if you don't):

• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo)
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
• Experience with Subversion
• Experience with Windows Server (2016/2012R2)
• Experience with CentOS Linux (7/6)
• Experience with VMWare ESX
• Experience with Active Directory
