This support covers a number of functional areas, specifically Finance, IT, Marketing, Payroll and Human Resources. IT Operations Technical Analyst (2nd level)

Bodycote Group IT require an Operations Technical Analyst to deliver local technical support and manage the IT infrastructure on a day to day basis within the region, taking responsibility for resolving incidents and requests in line with our defined processes and to agreed service levels.


Main responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for resolving incidents & requests in line with the defined ITIL based processes and to agreed Business service levels.
  • Representing GroupIT within the Region and at all times delivering world class customer service.
  • Day to day management of the Bodycote infrastructure in the field covering technologies around Servers, Operating Systems, Storage, Backup, LAN connectivity, Mobiles, Telephony, local IT Facilities and Endpoint device management including Reprographics. To include monitoring, checking availability & capacity of local infrastructure and applying changes in line with the agreed change management process.
  • Work with the problem management team to resolve issues and address corrective actions identified by our service improvement programme.
  • Collaborating globally with Bodycote IT resources, supporting over 3000 IT users in over Personal Qualities 180 locations.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience supporting a complex Windows based environment.
  • Strong technical background covering Microsoft technologies [Active Directory, DNS, SCCM, Intune and terminal services.
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems up to Windows 10.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows Server technologies.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN and Switches)
  • Knowledge of Backup technologies
  • Anti-virus technologies, preferably Sophos.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL.
  • Able to speak and write in English.

Desirable Skills

  • ITIL Certified to Foundation Level.
  • Technical certifications in line with the above technologies.
  • Additional languages (Czech, German, French or Swedish)

Personal Qualities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening and analytical skills.
  • Must have a flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to work as and motivate a team is essential.
  • Ability to work well and continue to deliver results under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work without direct management control.
  • Must be able to deal with customers / suppliers / peers at all levels in a professional manner.
  • Must be willing to travel and to stay away from home as and when required.
