CARE vznikla v roce 1945 za účelem pomoci válkou zničené Evropě. Legendární CARE packages (ve spolupráci s UNRRA) pomáhaly i Československu. Dnes patří CARE k největším (nezávislým) mezinárodním humanitárním organizacím, poskytuje okamžitou pomoc při katastrofách a bojuje proti chudobě po celém světě. Realizuje i dlouhodobé rozvojové programy, které vedou k soběstačnosti zranitelných komunit, se zvláštním zřetelem na ženy a dívky. Aktuálně působí ve 104 zemích světa. V roce 2020 jsme podpořili 92,3 milionu potřebných lidí. CARE Česká republika byla obnovena (po jejím zrušení v době totality) v roce 2007 a od roku 2019 je samostatným přípravným členem konfederace CARE International. Grant manager & proposal writer for humanitarian NGO CARE CZ

This new pilot role in CARE CZ program department, that reports to the director, aims to scale up and build up CARE CZ program portfolio, institutional donor’s diversification and revenue, efficiency and quality in proposals development.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Orientation and donors’ analysis in context of CARE confederation and CARE CZ
  • Searching and pipeline planning of new institutional fundraising opportunities for CARE CZ with focus on EU and international opportunities
  • Timely preparation of concept notes and proposals submissions in person, coordinating and supervising collaborating CARE and CARE CZ colleagues and externists
  • Active communication and coordination with key stakeholders in quality project proposals design and development (CARE network, partners, and experts)
  • Building added value and innovation of CARE CZ projects
  • Understanding and putting in practice terms and conditions of the donor, implementation of compliance with donors’ requirements within CARE CZ (with focus on ECHO and DEVCO), supporting program operation systems development where relevant (CARE or donors’ policies effectively in place)
  • Representation of CARE CZ at CARE global confederation level (mainly EU focal points, CARE International office in Brussels and other relevant platforms)
  • Close collaboration with program director, project managers, MEAL officer and finance manager
  • Application of learning into new proposals and revised CARE CZ processes.

Requirements:

  • Orientation in humanitarian and development funding opportunities in CZ, EU, other
  • Understanding of donor´s systems and requirements (preferably EU), experience with INGOs welcome
  • Solid experience with successful proposals development in humanitarian and development sector
  • Demonstrable recent experience in leading EU project proposal submissions
  • Ability to prepare projects with multiple partners and experts and develop their innovation and added value
  • Understanding of project design and PCM
  • Analytic skills, creative thinking, coordination and team management skills
  • Independent but also team player
  • Fluent English, knowledge of Czech and French is a strong asset
  • Interest in CARE thematic areas and CARE Vision 2030
  • Effective time management and taking responsibility for the outcomes.
