Developer / Analyst for Banking Applications

CIO CEE in UniCredit Services ensures the global delivery of ICT services to Central & Eastern Europe regions of UniCredit Group focusing mainly on Commercial Banking area. There are following global factories: CEE Digital Channels, CEE Core Banking, CEE Architectures & Enterprise Services. There are local IT competence centres maintaining specific banks’ applications In Hungary, Czech Rep. and Slovakia.

Aside from factories CEE CIO has also other competencies like CEE Agile Transformation, CEE CIO Office & Service management, which are supporting CEE IT project portfolio.

There is going to be created new internal cross-functional team focusing on CEE Open API domain. The mission of this team will be to operate specific IT assets like CEE API Sandbox, lead all Open API related projects and coordinate the activities with business and IT teams.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Role of Developer / Analyst for Banking Applications requires a combination of analytical, technical and testing background.

The candidate will work in API team as much as possible in cross-skill setup combining development skills, business analyses and testing during the whole lifecycle of projects. The team will be responsible also for operations of selected IT systems in production. Selected person will report to the Team Leader under CEE CIO Office & Service mgmt.

In the role the candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

Work inside the team on Open API projects

  • Delivery activities on projects (analyses, development, test)
  • Building team’s knowledge base about Open API domain in UniCredit Group CEE
  • Contribution to project planning and status reporting

Maintenance of CEE Open API related assets

  • Now there is CEE Sandbox asset (java based) to be managed, in the future the number of components might grow
  • Regular review of adherence to group standards (security, technology obsolescence, …)
  • Leading resolution of Open API related production incidents


  • Strong and proven experience in IT Delivery of large and complex projects
  • Strong IT architecture skills, certification is an advantage (TOGAF, Oracle Enterprise Architect)
  • Strong Enterprise JAVA development skills, deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of mainstream JAVA libraries or their alternatives (Spring framework, Hibernate, SLF4J, … )
  • Good Knowledge of development tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, GIT, SVN, Jenkins, maven and similar
  • Good knowledge of web/application servers (Tomcat, WAS, JBoss, …)
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, MS Azure, Google Cloud, …) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies is plus (e.g. HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap)
  • Good ability to learn new technologies fast
  • Experience with business analyses
  • Experience with SW testing
  • Knowledge of PSD2 regulation, open API standards (Berlin Group) and overall Open API domain is big plus
