Business Analyst

Job summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team here at BDP International in Prague as a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, you will improve operations and optimize the use of our BDP resources.

Main duties:

· Assist in the design of the processes, tools, and technologies that will be required to deliver BDP’s capabilities to the clients in an accurate and cost-efficient manner

· Assist in the design and development and provide critical input to the types of services, analyses, and reports that global clients can and should be receiving; including gathering information on current value-added resource requirements and cost

· Ensure that client business requirements are being fulfilled by BDP in a cost-effective manner. This will be accomplished by supporting client account teams in becoming a proactive PLP by performing cost analyses, observing processes, identifying problems and obstacles, and recommending cost-efficient solutions that support the client’s business objectives

· Ensure that BDP operates in accordance with its defined policies, procedures, processes, and authorities by monitoring against client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

· Participate in BDP’s account management process for assigned clients and create operational plans for those clients

· Work closely with other Business Analysts to identify value-added opportunities and ensure consistent client service

· Share and develop leading implementation and operational practices with Business Analysts peers in other regions

· Communicate additional business opportunities, competitive threats and operational issues with other members of client teams, including Client Business Analysts

· Run and analyze internal Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for given clients and monitor performance of client service against established KPIs for the client. Report performance to appropriate BDP and client parties

· Along with other regional Business Analysts, devise mitigation strategies for the specific client if performance falls below established benchmarks

· Work with BDP resources to help resolve client regional disputes and involve other regional Business Analysts for specific clients to resolve any cross-regional disputes

· Serve as an escalation point for complex non-compliance issues

· Regular contact with all departments (local and international), clients and with local, regional and global Management

· Improve process within BDP

· Respond quickly and give resolution to an issue

· Regular and clear communication toward the business


· Bachelor degree – preferably in Business IT and Management / Informatics or demonstrated skills through previous positions/experience

· At least 3 years of operations, industrial engineering, or project management experience preferred.

· Fluent English - daily communication only in English or Dutch

· Good analytical skills

· Good judgment and initiative

· Detail-oriented and accurate

· Operational skills in forwarding is a plus

· Understanding of BDP’s internal systems including UTrac, etc. and how data within those systems relates

· Understanding of additional BDP systems is a plus.
