Manager of Operations

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team here at BDP International in Prague as a Manager of Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall success and operation of the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for all Team success by agreeing, implementing, and monitoring individual and Team objectives
  • Responsibility for daily operations executed by the Logistics teams, arrange shipments are executed timely ensuring quality standards, company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • The Operations Manager has a direct reporting line to the Director of Operations and is member of the Management team
  • Monitor team performance and activity
  • Provide service to customers, identify their needs and provide feedback on the resolved issue.
  • Building and maintaining relationships (internal/external)
  • Write weekly/monthly figures and reports
  • Hold weekly/monthly operations meetings, discuss task delegation and review issues
  • Encourage respect and open communication within the team
  • Assist with recruitment of team members
  • Perform auditing and quality checks to ensure KPIs are followed
  • Identify opportunities and come up with suggestions on process improvements
  • Handling escalations from customers and internally
  • Training new team members if needed


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of transportation/supply chain experience
  • Demonstration of business acumen required
  • Fluent English - daily communication in English language
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual/presentation communication skills
