Regional Service Manager Finance & HR

Job Specification / Responsibilities

Objective and main purpose of the position:

The Regional Service Manager Finance and HR acts in the Financial and Commercial Acumen and Value Based & Puprose Driven divisions and manages these divisions as Regional Sponsor (Rerg Service manager). He is thus the interface between the central Finance and HR departments and the operational units in the region. In this function, the position holder ensures that the legal regulations and Deufol standard processes are adhered to and are continuously developed and improved in cooperation with the interface partners.

List of activities, responsibilities and tasks:

Comprehensive Finance:

  • Responsible for all commercial tasks in the assigned region
  • Contact person/interface for central accounting, tax & treasury and business finance
  • Ensures compliance with all internal commercial guidelines and accounting standards in his or her area of responsibility (legal regulations, account assignment/cost center guidelines, dunning, customer accreditation, investment approvals, profitability calculations for expansion investments, revenue and expense accruals and deferrals, support for inventories, value adjustments and the formation of provisions in accordance with the principle of commercial prudence)
  • Cooperation in superordinate projects
  • Collaboration/ support in IT projects or IT solutions for process improvement
  • Is involved in all contractual regulations concerning the region (rental contracts, financing contracts, customer and supplier contracts)

Business Finance:

  • Establishing budgets for the locations / region
  • Analysis of monthly results (plan/actual variance analyses)
  • Creation of forecasts based on current and expected business development
  • Carrying out reviews together with Business Finance
  • Derivation of cost rates and execution of calculations (pre-/post-calculation)
  • Profitability calculations of replacement and expansion investments (ROI)

Accounting, Tax & Treasury:

  • Ensure a successful month-end closing
  • Ensuring a successful annual financial statement
  • Ensuring the factual verification and approval of invoices
  • Responsible for the invoicing process together with the operational department (ensures that all services provided are invoiced completely and correctly priced / existing service specifications are optimally applied)
  • Receivables Management
  • Commercial part of the claim management (together with the operational, legal or central claim management)
  • Initiates revision actions if required

Operational HR Management:

  • Advising our managers & HR staff on all personnel-related & labor law issues
  • Responsibility for the recruiting process and active career and succession planning in the region
  • Advice & qualification of HR administrators & managers in the field of labor law
  • Development and analysis of HR key figures and implementation of appropriate measures
  • Coordination & documentation of the annual target agreement process regional
  • Standardization of operational HR processes in the region in terms of Organizational Alignments Coordination & design of onboarding of new employees (welcome folder, orientation plans, tours etc.)
  • Standardization of organizational structures & position structures in accordance with the Deufol standard
  • Establishment of standardized wage groups
  • Implementation of employee interviews and performance dialogues
  • Takeover of further HR projects in the area of corporate culture as well as personnel and organizational development

Management Responsibilities / Leadership / Coordination:

  • Professional guidance of employees in the areas of Finance and HR

Requirements:

Work Experience

  • Has extensive and long-standing experience in the areas of controlling, financial accounting and HR (5 years)
  • Has leadership experience
  • Project experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Training as an accountant and/or master's degree with business administration background
  • Practical experience in strategic HR and/or operational HR management
  • ERP knowledge (FI&CO)
  • Open-minded and empathetic appearance
