IT Project Manager

Role overview:

The purpose of this role is to manage the programme of key IT projects within Global Payments Europe. You will be a main point of contact for IT projects within the organisation and will perform a key role in helping the business to deliver these on time. You will work with the local IT Leaders to bring certainty and speed of delivery to our initiatives, while also delivering against the IT strategy and reporting to senior stakeholders for Global Payment Europe.

What you will be doing:

  • You’ll be responsible for quarterly IT programme & capacity planning, management and governance for strategic projects
  • You’ll be ensure that the top level strategy and OKRS (objectives and key results) are tracked, reviewed and managed to drive real change across the organisation
  • You’ll ensure timely delivery of assigned IT projects, securing appropriate resources and ensuring they hit strategic milestones and KPIs
  • You’ll manage large project demand requests made of the IT teams, allocating resources appropriately, allowing for up-front decisions, and ensuring programme plans are completed
  • You’ll be responsible for the adherence to our project capability - ensuring teams are complying with delivery processes and standards. You will redesign processes where it would increase efficiency
  • You’ll work closely with all stakeholders at all stages of the process to obtain buy-in and progress programme milestones
  • You’ll coordinate stakeholder meetings and facilitate the decision making process
  • You’ll drive reports on project status and overall strategy alignment with Senior Management and Executive level
  • You’ll identify and work on continual improvement or innovation projects to improve the IT Project Management & Agile Delivery capability in Global Payments Europe

  • Strong record of delivery and execution against strategy. Capable of managing and switching between multiple areas and activities without losing speed
  • Drive production of high quality plans, ensures adherence to plans, reports on progress and maintain delivery schedule
  • Proven ability to deliver on IT programmes and projects
  • Previous experience within or working with an IT department as a project manager
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and implement project management methodologies

  • Fluent Czech and English
  • Relevant project management qualifications
  • Exposure to IT processes, services and systems
  • BSc or MSc or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Software and IT infrastructure delivery experience


  • Experience in Fintech or Payments industry preferred
  • Scrum knowledge
