Position Description

Engineer engaged in all aspects of the custom design and manufacturing of complex mechanical seal systems and precision components for rotating equipment used in the aerospace industry. Position engages all aspects of mechanical engineering design skills (mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, materials, etc.) and interfaces directly with manufacturing to see product through from concept to delivery.

  • Apply engineering principles on design calculations, material selection, and performance analysis
  • Formulate custom seal designs for specific customer application requirements
  • Provide technical consultation internally and to customers and suppliers
  • Throughout the product design and development process, conduct design reviews and optimize design effectiveness and efficiency
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and customer
  • Generate and release CAD models and drawings using appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Create and control product and manufacturing bill of materials
  • Manage projects by developing project plans and coordinate projects by communicating with team members in order to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
  • Determine root causes of defects using statistical methods and recommend changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products.
  • Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
  • Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts.
  • Travel to customers and suppliers as required

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Bachelor degree with min 1 year of working experience in the industry
  • Experience in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, or Manufacturing Engineering is advantage
  • Good command of Czech language
  • Fluent English is necessary for this role
  • Good command of CAD, MS Office package
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints & specifications
  • Strong engineering application and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills are must
