Job Purpose

The Industry Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing a multitude of marketing programs – e.g. account intelligence gathering, demand creation, digital marketing, event marketing, reputation support and sales enablement – to drive the industry go-to-market strategy in support of Industry revenue targets and sales goals for DXC’s Americas Region. You will be responsible to develop, drive and evaluate regional industry marketing programs to build awareness and consideration, drive demand and advance pipeline for our technology-driven business solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Align industry marketing strategies with business priorities to drive consideration of our industry-specific intellectual property and industry-relevant horizontal technology solutions
  • Translate sales objectives (both opportunity-based and relationship-based) into objectives and project plans for marketing support
  • Build, socialize and activate a dedicated marketing plan for each industry assigned
  • Provide ongoing data and insights on assigned industries, accounts and contacts within these accounts
  • Manage GTM initiatives, messaging and timelines to support product launches, as part of an integrated team working with product management to enable sales
  • Educate industry sales teams on the potential role of marketing
  • Participate in and sometimes drive Social Media initiatives
  • Execute marketing programs on behalf of sales, and demonstrate to reps how they can execute program elements on their own
  • Define where DXC should be present in the industry, develop plans and manage execution of events and other tactics
  • Plan client meetings, innovation days and provide presentation support
  • Understand which internal organizational marketing campaigns and assets to leverage for industry programs/campaigns in support of sales goals
  • Orchestrate and lead ongoing check-ins with Regional industry leadership to ensure marketing goals/objectives, and key initiatives remain on track, and discuss upcoming marketing plan requirements and modifications
  • Internally promote industry-specific engagement marketing plans, updating these plans based on sales executive collaboration (and sometimes securing additional budget from sales to execute)
  • Coordinate the direct involvement of other cross functional marketing resources as needed to ensure success for the industry go-to-market plan
  • Establish, track and measure marketing tactics and prepare monthly reports

Background and Experience Required

  • Experience in working closely with sales
  • 7+ years of marketing experience (10 preferred); 3+ years in Demand Generation or general Marketing Programs role
  • Experience working at or with creative agencies
  • Experience in leveraging online and social media technologies to drive awareness and build pervasive relationships
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo) and marketing analytics
  • Proven record of partnering with sales to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team, fluid environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational conditions
  • Agency and budget management
  • BSc in Marketing, Communications or Business required

Technical Skills

  • Strong marketing automation platform experience, preferably Marketo
  • Strong organization and planning and program management skills
  • Versed in the use of CRM tools, preferably SalesForce and other sales tools (account planning, playbooks, etc.)
  • Database and analytics tools

  • Office Suite
