Position Overview:

As Vendavo expands into new product and market segments, we are looking for a skilled cloud engineer who will be responsible for implementation and maintenance in DevOps style of cloud native data platform build in AWS.

As an Cloud Data engineer, you will:

  • integrate AWS services into automated data processing and orchestration pipelines
  • create and maintain containers and AMI images, prepare databases and automation using AWS Step Functions and Amazon MQ
  • implement functionalities and configure new processing pipelines based on feature requirements
  • develop a REST API using Kotlin language

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • 1+ year experience with AWS as an AWS Engineer or similar position
  • 3+ year experience in software development
  • having cloud principles mindset (microservices, containers, automation, DevOps, CICD)
  • hands-on experience with EC2, S3, AmazonMQ, Lambda, VPC, RDS, Docker, Kotlin
  • Requirements
  • Good level of English communication skill (written and spoken) - B1
  • knowledge of at least one high level programming language (knowledge of a JVM or Kotlin language is a plus)
  • knowledge of various scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, Scala or similar)
  • experience with CICD, test driven development, test automation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
