Customer Master Data Analyst - Europe - Philips TV/Audio

Embedded in the multi-disciplinary European Sales Operations team, the Customer Master Data Analyst formulates, implements and supports best business practices of the organization in the area of CRM and operational Master Data (, SAP, business tools). Directly accountable for the accuracy and integrity of data across multiple systems, this role is a tactical focus point for our continuous improvement efforts, documenting as-is and to-be Master Data business processes and providing assistance to stakeholders in an international organisation. These processes support planning, commercial, financial, logistics, order processing, marketing and sales organizations.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Implement and enforce and train the organisation in Customer Master Data standards and guidelines
  • Analyse existing Master Data processes, identify weaknesses and follow up with recommendations and detailed execution plans for ongoing improvements

  • Develop and document processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity

  • Ensure data quality, compliance, consistency and integrity of master data across business systems including SAP and to include set-up and maintenance of customer accounts, pricing and other business relevant data

  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.

  • Conduct data cleaning to rid the system of legacy, old, unused or duplicate data

  • Resolve customer master data interface errors to ensure data integrity

  • Act as key contact for problem resolution and analysis relating to Master Data

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with export controls


  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in business administration, information science, data management or related field
  • Min. 3 years’ work experience in relevant area (customer master data, CRM maintenance/administration or similar)
  • Previous knowledge of SAP and SalesForce at user or master data management level preferred
  • Good command of Excel (pivot table, V-look up, advanced functions)
  • Fluent in English language, any other European language is a plus
  • Process orientation and user satisfaction attitude
  • Analytically minded and methodical problem solver
  • Excellent customer service and “can do” mentality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Very good communication skills, emotional balance and mature personality
  • Positive mental attitude, out of box thinking, common sense
