Accounts Payable Team Leader

REED is looking for a candidate looking to join a software company with a small business service center in Prague. You would get to lead an amazing team of 15 AP specialist, work with them to achieve great results, help them with further development and take full ownership of the teams processes. This just might be the new challenge for you!


  • Supervise Accounts Payable Team (currently 15 members)
  • Ensure all activities (posting of invoices, T&E claims) are performed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Monitor performance against KPI’s and individual business objectives
  • Supervise weekly payment proposals to vendors, ensure that company funds are properly utilized
  • Support vendor account and master data maintenance activities
  • Control the reconciliation of major vendor accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist Finance Business Partners in producing schedules for accruals and prepayments
  • Liaise with Financial Accountants/Finance Business Partners at month end to confirm balances with Purchase Ledger
  • Generate month end purchase ledger reporting and KPIs
  • Prepare weekly accounts payable management / performance reports and follow-up with team
  • Supervise vendor query process
  • Supervise the purchase card process
  • Support the Service Centre Manager on ad hoc tasks, projects and on-going improvement activities
  • Take an active part in process improvement activities


  • Fluent English language skills
  • 2 years experience as a team leader of small to medium size team
  • About 5 years of working experience in the area of finance/ accounting
  • Full knowledge of the area of accounts payable / travel expenses
  • Experience with Navision system is an advantage
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Analytically minded with strong financial acumen
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Good presentation skills and self confidence
