We are looking for a competent and talented profile of a Strategic Purchaser with strong negotiating and contracting skills and pro-active approach who will play a central role in co-operation with the global Purchasing Department. Become one of two new members of our growing team in Olomouc!

As a Strategic Purchaser you will become a member of NCS Supply Chain team and will report to Senior Procurement Manager in Denmark. You will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal global category strategy in a cross-functional Category Team.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Support and develop best-in-class supply chain management processes in order to secure safety, high quality, on-time delivery and low cost.
  • Establishing partnerships and knowledge sharing with suppliers.
  • Support in defining negotiation strategy and lead negotiations within your area of responsibility.
  • Secure that all cost out opportunities are identified and implemented.
  • Secure relevant risk assessments are completed and acted upon do reduce risk within your area of responsibility.
  • Negotiate frame contract with suppliers.

What are our expectations:

  • Bachelor or Master degree within Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance/Economics or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a comparable environment in a manufacturing company or consultancy.
  • Project and supplier management experience.
  • Total cost of ownership mindset – cost drivers, cost modelling, cost break-downs.
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiator with the ability to achieve optimal commercial solutions while maintaining credibility and long terms supplier relation.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding.
  • English proficiency (oral / written) and good IT skills.
