Underwriting System Specialist / HQ RISK

For respected financial company operating in several countries I am looking for Underwriting System Specialist.

Position is in HQ Risk Technology team. Reporting line to Risk Group Technology Manager.

Manages: UW system.

Cooperates: HQ RISK underwriting team, Country Blaze architects, HQ/Local Risk teams, cooperation with IT

· Key internal customers: HQ RISK underwriting (UW) team, Country UW team, HQ/Local Risk teams, cooperation with IT

· Focus: Detailed knowledge of UW system features and possibilities to provide consulting regarding optimal underwriting strategy implementation into the UW system (Blaze)

· Management of part of the UW process life cycle

· Full responsibility for final deployment of the UW strategy to production

· Participation in development projects of the company

· Involvement in specifications of UW system during implementation in new or existing country

Responsibilities:

• Cooperation with UW system experts in countries and HQ

• Revisioning of UW strategy models proposed by country teams for the group UW system

• Frequent communication with country teams

• Providing support and consultation regarding the new or existing UW process

• Provides regular reviews of UW system strategies with regard to design correctness and clearness

• Provide training materials for new colleagues in countries and knowledge sharing across country teams

• Maintains and optimizes UW system input/output data interface (vector); manages access rights for existing and new users

• Deployment plan management

• Coordination between teams involved in the change

• Check the correct technical implementation of proposed business changes

• Oversee that all documents are provided and in order

Education/Experience

Need-to-have areas

• University/Technical college with a focus on economy/technology/engineering/IT

• Basic knowledge of working with databases (SQL)

• Basic knowledge of programming languages (JAVA) or process modeling

• Ability to verbally converse in the English language

Nice-to-have areas

• Experience with implementing or managing UW system

• Experience in Debt Recovery Department or Retail Risks

• Experience with the development and management of UW strategies

• Experience with UW technologies

• Basic knowledge of bank products or any knowledge of credit risk

• Basic understanding of UML/BPML
