What you'll be doing:

  • Resolving incidents, implementation of changes and of standard service requests
  • Ticket forwarding to appropriate resolver group
  • Acceptance of requests by phone and opening ticket for correct resolution group
  • Check tickets returned from WAN provider as resolved for completeness of solution description
  • Automated deployment of configurations via existing scripts "Endkontrolle" (complete check everything works again) end ensuring all components and services are up and running after incident resolution and change execution
  • Updating documentation ("Kontrollpläne", operations manual, SOPs, network plans, Wiki entries, solution database, …)
  • Opening tickets manually based on monitoring events that did not create a ticket automatically
  • User communication (call acceptance, status requests, collecting solution confirmation, …)
  • Cooperation in small projects, potentially also in LNS sites
  • Implementation of complex service requests
  • Creation of scripts for automated deployments
  • Implementation of complex changes, change planning, change evaluation
  • Configuration check (configurations prepared as part of a change)
  • Steering and coordination of CampS and NOS engineers
  • Validation and check of work results from level 1 staff according to 4-eyes-principle
  • Root cause analysis, Problem management


  • Knowledge on the level of CCNP certification - Routing and Switching/Security
  • Working experience with Cisco technologies
  • English written and spoken
  • German is a BIG plus
  • willingness to work on extra paid shifts 24x7 (nights +10%, weekends +10%, public holidays +100%)
  • IPv4 / IPv6, WAN technology, Industrial WLAN
  • Network management (SNMP), AAA Protocols und Apps
  • LDAP(S), RSA, SecureID, Active Directory, Proxy Servers
